Minuadapter
Integration project for immigrants
The Estonian term “Minuadapter” means “My Adapter” in English. It is the name of the project launched by the Estonian Refugee Council in 2022 to help immigrants to enjoy the process of integration and adaptation into Estonian society through various social activities.
A’Design Award & Competition 2024 recognised this design as fully eligible to win the award.

Design Process
A creative brief was used to identify the client’s requirements and the goal of the design. Due to the time limitation, we had less than two weeks to deliver the design. We conducted a rapid review of natural and cultural visual symbols. However, we discovered that the fastest method to create the logo was to use the visual potential of the letters in the brand name, despite the name being long as it is composed of two connected syllables.

Logo Story
The word “Minu” represents an immigrant, while “Adapter” represents the helpers and activities provided by them. To convey the ideas of support and assistance in the logo, the words are positioned so that it shows the “Adapter” takes “Minu” on a journey to new places and experiences, helping them to become familiar with their surroundings.

Colours
- Purple: This shade of purple evokes the feelings of passion and energy in the viewers.
- Yellow: The colour is used to convey and symbolise new beginnings, positivity and joy.

We are truly pleased with the MinuAdapter logo. The design beautifully captures the essence of adaptability, connection and inclusion. We are grateful for the thoughtful, creative process and the result, which reflects both the mission and the people it serves.
